New Windsor resident Kevin Cholula pleaded guilty in Orange County court on Thursday, Feb. 27 to two counts of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler said.
According to the DA's Office, between July 2020 and October 2023, Cholula engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, including at least one instance of sexual intercourse, oral sex, and anal sex with two children younger than 11 years old.
When Cholula is sentenced on Thursday, June 12, he faces 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act.
In a statement, Hoovler called Cholula's actions "unspeakable."
"Investigations into allegations of sexual crimes against children are particularly challenging and I commend the dedicated work of the police officers and prosecutors who ensured justice was served in this case," Hoovler continued.
